Capital Market Leaders Academy 2021 Edition

Participant, partner, and team safety is our priority, which is why this year we had to decide to change the format of the Capital Market Leaders Academy. Due to the prolonged COVID pandemic, the classes were conducted remotely. The Summer School was divided into a week-long intensive program, weekend sessions, and Saturday ALRK classes. We only met live in December during the grand finale. In 2021, we tackled the theme “Impact of Crises on the Economy.

Beyond standard workshops, lectures, and evening leadership meetings, participants had to engage with a case study, with only 20 clock hours to develop it. The task was to assess the degree of ESG concept implementation by a given economic sector using selected stock market companies as examples. The sector division was based on the analysis of the WIG-ESG index, identifying five areas:

1) technology companies;
2) banking sector companies;
3) trading companies;
4) chemical companies;
5) service companies.

Leadership

Despite the online format, evening Leadership meetings with top representatives of partner companies were essential. Participants had the opportunity to draw on the knowledge and experience of 9 financial industry leaders:
